Recently I had the honor of photographing the brilliant actor Hainsley Lloyd Bennett. Best known for his captivating performances, Hainsley came to me with a clear vision for his creative portrait session, one that embraced cinematic style, dramatic lighting, and an evocative mood.

Born to Caribbean parents in the vibrant borough of Hammersmith, West London, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett’s story is one of resilience, cultural richness, and artistic passion.
Raised in the diverse and dynamic neighbourhoods of Wembley and Alperton in North London, Hainsley grew up immersed in a melting pot of cultures, languages, and traditions. Hainsley’s Review of Our Session
I’m usually very meticulous when it comes to planning photoshoots. I take no chances and cover all bases with mood boards and references. My visuals for this session were very strikingly light and mood based. Alternative and unlike anything I’ve ever done. The moment I met Joanne we clicked and she leaped at the chance to not only actualise my images but exceed them. The creative rapport we found created some of my most artistic and striking images I’ve ever created. Classic in some senses yet fresh and progressive I feel like we have definitely set a tone and flavour she could incorporate within her own style.
